“Cross Country” James Patterson

   Posted by: Megan    in Mystery

Alex Cross is after a terrifying killer that murders entire families.  What makes it even worse is the killer uses children under the age of 15 to help him.  Alex has no idea what connects this killer to his victims but he is going to stop at nothing to get him.  His chase will lead him to Africa where he finds a country where murder happens on a daily basis and no one, even the police, don’t seem to care.

As always, Alex Cross will keep you guessing until the end.  You find out part way through who the killer is but not that is only a part of the mystery.  Alex’s family gets kidnapped. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat until the VERY end of the book. Honestly you will not know if his family will live or die until the final10 pages of this exciting book.

“Plum Spooky” Janet Evanovich

   Posted by: Megan    in Humor

Stephanie Plum is at it again, including some very strange antics that involve the Jersey Devil, monkeys and Diesel. Stephanie is looking for Martin Munch who has skipped bail and is rumored to be with the Wulf.   Wulf is a “special person” like Diesel.  Even though he’s Diesel’s cousin he is a very bad person, that everyone is afraid of, except Ranger of course.  At the same time poor Morelli is stuck with his brother Anthony who’s wife has kicked him out for cheating on her.

As is usual in Plum novels some very funny things will happen; how Stephanie gets Morelli’s brother shot in the butt; and how Stephanie winds up living with monkeys. How many cars can Stephanie ruin?   And exactly what is the Jersey devil?  You will enjoy reading this novel to answer all these questions and a lot more.
