I didn’t read this book, I listened to it. Sometimes when we go on a long trip I stop off at the library for a book on CD. Being considerate, for once, of my Wife I decided to make it a romance. I’m glad I did.

Anne Burnett has been married to a man she never met. A highland rustic far from the glamour of London and all she knows. This book has a little of everything, politics, action, adventure, history and of course a romance.

Ms. Maxwell takes her lighthearted romance seriously. The characters are deep and well rounded. They are living, breathing and real. I liked everything about this book, the age, the setting, the characters, the plot, the story. This book is fun.

In my last review I talked about good Character. The hero and heroine in this story have it aplenty. It is very easy to like them and want to read more. This is an excellent example of good, fun, and interesting reading all at the same time.

Thank you Ms Maxwell.
